Musica y Mezcal
The Vision MusicayMezcal is a digital hub and cultural crossroads designed to bridge the gap between diverse musical scenes. What started as a vision to highlight incredible talent has grown into a dedicated space for fostering connection through sound. We celebrate the raw energy of emerging artists and the stories of the people who bring music to life, with a special focus on the vibrant, intersecting communities of Vancouver and Mexico.
What We Do We are passionate about capturing the magic of music in all its forms, showcasing high-quality content that sounds as good as it looks. Our platform is home to:
- Live Music Sessions: Immersive, multi-camera performances that put you right in the room with standout emerging artists.
- The Podcast: A bilingual platform featuring in-depth interviews with musicians, industry producers, and event organizers. We dive into the creative processes, the local scenes, and the hustle behind the art.
- Music News & Culture: A curated space for updates on the artists we love, industry news, and the cultural movements shaping the music we listen to.
Behind the Lens MusicayMezcal is produced and directed by Paco, a professional videographer and photographer. Originally from Mexico and now calling Vancouver home, his background directly shapes the bilingual, cross-cultural soul of the platform. Combining a sharp visual eye with a deep love for music, he manages the entire production pipeline—from live audio recording to multi-camera video editing—ensuring every session and interview is captured with a polished, studio-quality aesthetic.
We chat with musicians as an excuse to drink Mezcal.
